Did you know over 85% of flowers sold in the UK are grown elsewhere in the world,  flown to auctions in  Holland and then transported to the UK by road? Did you know that chemicals are often  used to prolong their life during transportation? 

And… 75% of all these flowers are sold by supermarkets, where they are wrapped in plastic, and sit on the shelf far too long.
